Although one can’t see this offering from the Baker’s inlet jetty, Haulover Beach is known as one of the premier clothing optional beaches in South Florida. It is family friendly, so beachgoers of all ages may attend.
Aside from the naturalist area, there is a vast stretch of traditionally clothed beach on either side of the inlet. A parade of multi-colored umbrellas and towels greets the eye at the edge of teal-bordering-on-sapphire water and endless sand. Some refer to Haulover Beach as a little piece of paradise.

The city of Sunny Isles Beach worked with Miami-Dade County to establish a countywide skatepark. Goals of the new park included expanded hours, lower cost and access to all county residents. The park is free for all to use, excluding the parking fee if patrons arrive via vehicle. Skateboarding, biking and pedestrian access are free.
